Grandparents Chat

We have recently joined a project called Grandparent's Chat. The project is part of the Cruinniú na nÓg initiative of Mayo Library and Mayo County Council. The leaders of the project visited us recently and carried out a demonstration interview. In the coming weeks the children of the senior room will report back from interviewing their grandparents or people in their family with tales and experiences of the past. These reports will then be compiled into a book. Contributions will be gathered from schools in the wider area also so it gives our children the chance to be part of a wider district - based project.
