Getting Close to Showtime!

Next Thursday brings to a fantastic end, our year's work in learning our repertoire for the National Children's Choir. The grand finale will take place in Breaffy Arena at 7.30pm and judging by the practices you are in for a real treat. The repertoire spans a huge range of musical styles from Latin hymns to Italian opera to Irish traditional favourites. A couple of rock classics and upbeat arrangements keep things moving along. This year Lecanvey are singing in the Alto section and contribute lots of low E's and many consecutive notes at the same pitch!

We say we do these tasks just to make the sopranos sound good and if the choir really messes up on the night altos probably won't get the blame. So come check us out and see how good we are at singing the same note for 12 consecutive measures!! Some tickets available in the school at a cost of €12.
